Fishing Rod Set
setting up the fishing rod for freshwater fishing?
This is gonna sound a bit embarrassing, i haven’t gone freshwater fishing in like 10 years, i actually forgot how to rig the rod what goes on top the weights or the hook, do u put the weights on and then put the hook below it or do u put the hook on first and the weights below it… Please help
I always put my sinker on first. The way the other guy explained may work well for him or both of you, but not me.
All I do is Bass fish so the very first thing I do when rigging a Plastic Worm is putting the slip sinker one first. Afterwards I go down about 2-3 inchs of line (down the line) and tie my 3/0 hook on and I’m ready to go.
Even when I catfished and bream fished back in the day, I still rigged my reels just like I do now. The only difference is I used a split shot sinker (about 3-4 inchs “above” the hook) instead of a slip sinker.
